Riding German Ridge

By: HRA Crack Research Team

Gernman Ridge is in the Hoosier National Forest
south of Bloomington, Indiana.

The trails are nice and they are a stacked loop system
so you can ride an hour, 2 or 4 or so on. The trails
are well marked and maintained. The longest trail is 19
miles long and a really good ride.

The campground is nice, too. There is a pad for parking
trailers. Water and posts for picket lines. No
Electric. No showers. Pit Toilets.

If you have first-hand experience riding German Ridge
we encourage you to submit an article here.

This site depends on trail riders sharing their experiences.

Tell us what's good and bad, any pointers, directions,
parking or camping information and be sure to say which
trails you like.

Articles can be easily posted using the "Submit Articles"
link on the left of every page. There is no limit.

The easiest way to get there is go to Tell City and take 66 to the turn into the Hoosier National. The turn into the campground is just off 66 to the left.
