Part of the Mississinewa Lake Reservoir Management Project, Francis Slocum is located on the Northeast side of the like in Miami County about 7 miles east of Peru The exact number and length of trails is not known, but the trials are classified as "pretty". Many follow the Mississinewa River. The hills are easy and rolling. Some trails miles are rocky and sometimes muddy. There is no campground. A fun day ride. However, just south of Francis Slocum is a campground owned by the Frances Slocum Trail Riders. It has water, electric, poles for picket lines, pit toilets. You must have permission from the FSTR to camp there. This information was compiled by the crack research team at HorsebackRidingArticles.com. It is by no means complete.
